DO NOT BOTHER. I am not sure how much they pay for a good review but the current rating isnt a true representation. The custard power in the window as you walk past the kitchen should be enough warning, never mind the extraction fan pumping vile smells out and the fat running down the wall (pictures included)The cigarettes, rubbish and litter around the kitchen isn't much better (picture attached)I have tried to contact Brewery, Robinson's, but they have not been able to speak to the pub owner about my complaint. That was 8 weeks ago WITH 6 replies telling me they have passed my complaint on and await a response. It would seem that Mr Hood, the owner, isn't bothered. I live locally and as the only really pub in Alderley Edge I want to see the Drum serve great food and drink. I want it to be a community pub where locals can go and can get away from the mainstream steak restaurants in the village. Unfortunately the landlord doesn't seem interested.
Friendly ambience. Staff welcoming and accommodating to special dietary needs.
Decent little pub up the hill in Alderley Edge. Nothing fancy abut it just reasonable beer and food in a non pretentious environment.
A shadow of its former self. The lovely bowling green gone and I can't explain why, but the place juat doesn't feel right. It was a beautiful summer's evening, early door and it was dead. What a shame.
Friendly Pub with lots of space outside for kids to run round.Suffered a bit from staff being too busy when we visited for Sunday lunch.Bit of a long wait for bar service and although reasonably priced our meals were hit and miss. Half of us pleased other half disappointed.Overall all good choice of pub in alderley edge. Friendly, reasonably priced and lots of space outside. Can be hit and miss with food when busy.
